Autumn 1 Week 6

We are excited to play in our Gruffalo tuff trays!

The Pre-School children have been practising their counting.

The children are enjoying learning through play.


The Reception children have been looking at ordering according to size in maths.

The Pre-School children have been looking at colours.

The Reception children have been looking at one more and one less.

We looked at the artist Andy Goldsworthy and then made pictures out of leaves.

We went on an autumn walk.

Autumn 1 Week 5

We enjoyed practising our under arm throwing in PE.


We enjoyed our dough disco.

The Reception children enjoyed their music lesson with Mrs Blackledge.



In maths, the Reception children have been looking at repeating patterns.

The Pre-School children have been looking at colours.

In maths, we have also been comparing groups of objects.

In RE, the Reception children acted out a Baptism.

Autumn 1 Week 4

In maths, we sorting objects into different groups.

We have been looking at the story ‘Funnybones’ and then drew skeleton pictures.

We have been matching buttons in maths.


The Pre-School children have been looking at the story ‘Things I Like’ by Anthony Browne and discussing what they like to do.

 

 

Autumn 1 Week 3

The Pre-School children went on an environmental sound walk in phonics.

We looked at different maps which included one of our local area. We then created a map using blocks.

The Reception and Pre-School children participated in a lovely collective worship for HM Queen Elizabeth II.


In RE, we talked about how God made us special and unique. We then looked at our finger prints with magnifying glasses and printed our finger prints using paint.
 

 

Autumn 1 Week 2

The new Pre-School children enjoyed their first day.

 

The Reception children enjoyed their first PE session.

We have been looking at our baby pictures and talking about what we can do now that we couldn’t do when we were babies.



We have been looking at our senses. We tasted different foods: jam (sweet), dark chocolate (bitter), lemon juice (sour) and crisps (salty).

 

 

We also enjoyed smelling different things such as soap and candles.


We have been looking at parts of our body.

We talked about good oral hygiene and practised brushing the big teeth.

We talked about God’s creations and then painted some.
