Spring 2 Week 2

The Pre-School children conducted a raincloud experiment using food colouring, shaving foam and water.

We looked at the nursery rhyme ‘10 in a Bed’ and talked about one less each time.

We loved dressing up as our favourite book characters as part of World Book Day.

In DT, we have been practising our weaving skills.

The Pre-School children listened to ‘The Very Noisy Night’ story and then created sound effects for the different parts of the story.

As part of World Book Day, we created book reviews for ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’.


For our collective worship, we looked at the poem ‘Footprints in the Sand’ and listened to the music. We said thank you to Jesus for always being there for us.

Spring 1 Week 6

As part of mental health week, we looked at ‘teddy breathing’ to relax us.

We looked at musical patterns in music with Mrs Blackledge.

As part of ‘Safer Internet Day’, we looked at ‘Didgiduck’s Big Decision’ and ‘Jessie and Friends’ and discussed how to stay safe on the internet.

As part of  Mental Health Week, we looked at the ‘The Worrysaurus’ and discussed what to do when we are worried. We then made ‘Milton’ worry monsters.

The Pre-School children have been looking at rhyming words.

The Pre-School children went on an environmental walk to listen to different sounds.

The Pre-School children have been looking at mass in maths. They found things around the classroom to weigh. They predicted and then tested if the objects were heavier or lighter than Miss Smith’s post-it notes.

We used different painting techniques to create a large scale firework picture. We splattered paint using brushes, sticks and teabags!

In our collective worship, we looked at God’s Wonderful World.

The Pre-School children thanked Jesus for helping us to be good friends.

We enjoy outdoor provision.
