Spring 2 Week 6

The Reception children carried out a science investigation to find out the best materials to use for a coat for Oscar the monkey!

We enjoy learning through play…

The Reception children looked at animals and their babies.

The Reception children went on a numbered Easter egg hunt around the classroom.

We have been looking at shapes and their properties in maths.

We made Easter cards.

We made Easter cornflake cakes.
 

 

 

Spring 2 Week 5

We looked at the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and then sequenced the life cycle of a butterfly.

We have been building in continuous provision.

The Pre-School children haven been looking at counting and numbers.

We had a number bonds party.

Our bean plants are growing…

We have some frog spawn!

Spring 2 Week 4

Fun in the sun…

We planted seeds as part of Science week.

The Reception children enjoyed their minibeast hunt. They found some worms, woodlice, spiders and slugs.

We enjoyed exploring our new dark den.

The Reception children made habitats for minibeasts usin junk modelling materials.

We dressed up in blue and yellow to support Ukraine.

Spring 2 Week 3

The ducklings enjoyed having a swim in their paddling pool!

The Reception children planted bean seeds. They are hoping to climb up the beanstalks and meet a giant!
 

We have loved watching the ducklings swim!

The Reception children looked at subtraction using magic beans.
 

The Reception children looked at the famous artist ‘Vincent Van Gogh’. We created paintings like his ‘Sunflowers’ one!
